About Installation
After I installed PPT2Flash Standard, I can't find PPT2Flash in PowerPoint menu. What can I do?
1. Activate PPT2Flash Add-in in PowerPoint
PowerPoint 2003:
In PowerPoint menu > Help > About Microsoft Office PowerPoint > Disabled Items > select PPT2Flash Standard in the list > click Enable.
PowerPoint 2007:
Click the Office Button > PowerPoint Options > Add-Ins > Choose "Disabled Items" in the Manage list > click Go > Disabled Items > select PPT2Flash Standard in the list > click Enable.
2. If PPT2Flash Add-in is not listed in Disabled Items in PowerPoint, please register the DLL file manually.
Click "Start" in Windows > Run > type regsvr32 "C:\Program Files\Wondershare\PPT2Flash Standard\WsP2FStd.dll" (C:\Program Files\Wondershare\PPT2Flash Standard\ could be replaced by your own installation path) > click OK in RegSvr32 window.
How to Use
1. Install PPT2Flash Standard on your computer. The program works as a PowerPoint Add-In.
2. Launch PowerPoint and you find PPT2Flash in the menu bar in PowerPoint 2003 or as ribbon tab in PowerPoint 2007.
3. Open an existing PowerPoint file or create a new one within PowerPoint.
4. Click Publish Settings to configure the conversion.
Tips:
1) FPS stands for Frames Rate per Second. The default frame rate for flash is 12 which produces the best results for the web. If you assign flash with a high frame rate, it may cause the system performance to slow and blur the details of the animations. A frame rate that is too slow will have the similar results where it starts or stops. What will determine the quality of your flash movies on the web will be the complexity of the animation and the speed of the computer on which the animation is being played on. Actually, Frames Per Second Setting is not a accelerator and it can not make it go faster. Instead, it is barrier to prevent powerful systems to play flash faster than intended.
2) For security purpose, you can click the Playback tab to set to password to protect your flash.
3) If you want to import the converted flash to a flash eidtor, uncheck “Compress the output flash movie” .
Enhanced features to the slideshow
1) Record Narration and capture screen
You can click Record Narration to add a voiceover to a specific slide.
You can click Capture screen to add interactive demo in your presentation.
2) Import Audio
Click Import Audio to insert background music for the whole slideshow or you can add a piece of music to a specific slide. Audio in WAV and MP3 format are supported.
3) Insert Flash
Click Insert Flash to instantly insert Flash movies to a slide or as a new slide.
5. Preview and Publish
Provide new player templates with Infor bar and slide thumbnails.
The difference of one solid .swf file and separate .swf files:
With the separate swf files, you can merge the selected Flash slides with other Flash movies to make a new one.
