Create Demo Tutorials for LMS
For common end users, DemoCreator is a handy screen recording tool to create interactive tutorials and demos. Meanwhile, teachers and trainers can also use it in efficient teaching. It is a powerful video presentation tool that creates video courses with SCORM/AICC compliance. Thus the video content can be used on any LMS.
The following are steps to guide you through the process of creating SCORM screen casting.
1. Create a software course with DemoCreator
Record screen activities in real time and then add annotations as visual instructions. In addition, you can integrate instructional objects ,animations and other interactivities with final content output.
2. Publish for LMS
Click Publish on the top toolbar, select LMS and do some further settings on the pop-up window, then click Publish button on the bottom to generate the courseware package.
3. Upload to LMS
Login to your account in LMS, for example, Moodle or WebCT, upload the SCORM package which generated by this screen recording software.
Upload SCORM Package to Moodle:
• Run a Moodle course in Edit mode
• Add an Activity and select SCORM/AICC from the drop-down list
• Browse for the SCORM Zip file created by DemoCreator
• Upload the zip file
Upload SCORM Package to WebCT:
As you add content to your WebCT course, you will encounter a Browse button. Clicking this button will open the WebCT Browser. This feature lets you select files from your WebCT folders for use in WebCT tools such as Calendar, Quiz, and Content Module. You can also upload files from your computer.
To select a file:
- From any Add File or Import File screen, click Browse. The WebCT Browser screen appears like the following.
- Click Browse next to the Filename text box, then the file manager appears.
- Locate and select the LMS package file on your computer, then press Open. The WebCT Browser screen appears and the path and filename of the selected file appears in the Filename text box.
- Select a destination folder from the "Upload to" drop-down list, and click Upload. The WebCT Browser screen refreshes and the file is added to the list of files under File Browser.
- Verify the file you have uploaded is selected from the list of files.
- Click Add selected. The Add File or Import File screen appears, and the filename of the uploaded file is displayed in the Filename text box.
- Click Import. Get it done.
