Steps to embed a Flash quiz into a PowerPoint

The following picture shows what it would be like after embedding a quiz into a presentation–the Flash Quiz will play automatically when viewing the quiz part.

There are only 4 steps to insert a Flash quiz into a presentation.

Before starting these steps, please prepare your Presentation and Flash quiz before hand and put them in the same folder (you will know the reason lately). Or, you can use the sample files we provide to you:

(Right click on the link and choose “Save As”).

Step 1: Open “PowerPoint Options” and check the option that says “Show Developer Tab in the Ribbon”

Step 2: Click the icon in the “Developer Tab” that looks like a tilted hammer (highlighted in red) and select “Shockwave Flash Object” from the next window.

Step 3: Draw a rectangle using your mouse on the PowerPoint canvas, right click and select “Properties”.

Step 4: Because we have put the presentation and quiz file in the same folder, we can add the SWF file simply by typing the name of the SWF file in the “Movie Property”. In my case, it’s “Bugs Bunny quiz.swf”. If the presentation and the quiz are not in the same folder, we need to type in the full path of the SWF file.

Then your Flash quiz is embedded in the presentation.

As you can see from the above pictures, the Flash quiz made by PowerPoint quiz maker includes pictures and Flash videos. With this feature, the quiz can brighten up the presentation quickly and make your presentation more attractive to the audience. As the Flash quiz is independent from the presentation file, it can be sent to the audience and they can use it to do a review.
