| Undoubtedly, the term Web 2.0 is spoiled by all its pros and cons. The derivation from Web 2.0 is impacting the living as well as the development of concepts such as eLearning 2.0. But most of the “2.0″s are concepts and attempts only. To prove the approach to Web 2.0 in education is not that more than fantasy, I think we need some testing on Facebook. In my ideal place, the Applications in Facebook are really nice to start up. “Groups” for building and managing the classroom, “Events” for planning and scheduling all courses. And there’re other applications recommended to construct the Learning Community: SlideShare, the best way to share presentations on the popular presentations community SlideShare.com; Flash Embed, enhancement for Flash animations in profile, not bad to show some Flash-based eLearning courses from the developers like Wondershare (http://www.sameshow.com/ in profile.
“Oh look, everyone has a mobile phone/Facebook account/Second Life avatar…let’s use that for educational purposes”. Right, a lot people noticed the hotness of Web 2.0 communities such as Facebook, and liked to utilize the popularity in maximum efforts. According to the view from elearnspace Blog, “Do students want educators to integrate Facebook into instructional activities? Or do students prefer to use these tools for more social purposes?”
